When you purchase this product you are supporting and contributing to the sustainability of small fair trade cottage craft industries in Nepal. The co-operative in Kathmandu employs over 80 women full-time and provides them with vocational skills enabling them to support their families. They are incredibly skilled in the art of felting, which is an intricate process of lathering wool and hot soapy water together and through moisture, heat and friction a unique and beautiful product is created.
